American StudiesThe American Air Museum tells the story of American air power and its effect on the twentieth century. It is the finest collection of historic American combat aircraft outside of the United States. British StudiesMontgomery's caravans from the Second World War are located in the Land Warfare Hall, which also displays scenes from all major conflicts in the twentieth century in which Britain was involved, including the Normandy Experience. Also not to be missed is the permanent Battle of Britain exhibit in Hangar 4. European Studies, Modern HistoryThe Land Warfare Hall features dramatic scenes in tableaux from all of the major conflicts of the twentieth century. The museum itself tells the story of twentieth century conflict. Aerospace/TechnologyDuxford is Europe's premier aviation museum, and classic examples of historic aircraft show the progression of flight technology throughout the century.
