The Museum Shops sells a variety of posters, pens, books, badges etc.  A pre-visit order of goody bags for your class can be arranged for set prices, for quick and easy collection on the day of your visit.  Please contact the Museum Shop directly on 01223 835000 for details.

DVD*

Making the Most of Museums - FREE

Two short films.  The first explores how to use artifacts and everyday items in the classroom.  The second film discusses how to make the most effective use of your museum visit. 

Videos*

Please tick the appropriate box on the Booking Form.  We loan the video to you on receipt of your £5 cheque as a deposit for each video.  When you return the video we give you back your original cheque. We reserve the right to cash cheques should videos not be returned.  Subtitled versions available on request.

History of Duxford Video - £5 deposit
A 14 minute video detailing Duxford's history.  This prepares groups for their visit.  Suitable for secondary pupils and top primary.

Flying Machines - £5 deposit
A 15 minute introduction to the parts of an aeroplane and an explanation of how an aeroplane flies.  Suitable for primary age pupils.  Essential viewing for groups intending to participate in the 'Assembling an Aeroplane' activity and useful for all pupils participating in a Science and Technology activity.

EFL Classroom Resources

EFL trained Education Staff have developed a stimulating 'hands-on' educational activity to give students the opportunity to extend their English in a museum environment. Free pre and post visit material for use in the classroom, and additional material for use on the site, are available to download.

A map of the site is sent with your ticket, or there is a downloadable version on the 'How to Book' page. Please photocopy this for your helpers.  Large print versions can be requested on the Booking Form.

Duxford Handbook*

The Duxford Handbook can be purchased on the day from the shop.  However if you prefer it in advance you may order it through the office of the Department for Learning.  Price £3.25 (current at time of going to press) - cheques should be made payable to 'Imperial War Museum'.
