A Working Museum
Conservation at DuxfordConservation at Duxford
The conservation and restoration of large exhibits, aircraft in particular, is one of Duxford's most important functions. Unlike the practice at many other museums, at Duxford this work is largely done in full view of visitors, many of whom return to follow the progress of their favourite project.

Volunteers at DuxfordVolunteers at Duxford
All volunteer activity at Duxford comes under the auspices of the Duxford Aviation Society. Formed in 1975, the DAS is the largest and most active group of its kind in Britain. Its aims are to acquire, preserve and display British civil aircraft and to work closely with the Imperial War Museum towards the development of Duxford and its collections.

Duxford Radio SocietyDuxford Radio Society
The Duxford Radio Society plays a valuable role in promoting interest in the history of radio and its use by the military. They also promote amateur radio and keep classic vintage radio equipment on the air.
