Getting here by bus

Cambridge C7 Bus Service – Monday to Saturday

Between Monday and Saturday the scheduled Stagecoach C7 service operates from the Bus Stop B in Emmanuel Street, via Cambridge Rail Station and Addenbrookes hospital, departing at 30 minute intervals from 8.55am and then throughout the day. The return times from Imperial War Museum Duxford are on the hour and half past the hour. The last departure is at 5.30pm. On Sundays the first bus leaves Cambridge at 10.35am and then departs at hourly intervals.  The last departure from Duxford is at 4.35pm. We would recommend that you contact Stagecoach in advance of travel to confim final departure times. Visit their website at www.stagecoachbus.com/cambridge/ or call 0871 200 22 33.

Visitors using the C7 service will receive a reduced rate of admission upon producing their bus ticket (Excludes Special Event days).

Myalls Bus Service – Sundays and Bank holidays

On Sundays and Bank holidays the scheduled Myalls 132 service operates from the Bus Station (Bay 7) in Drummer Street, departing at 2 hour intervals throughout the day from 10.05 until 18.05. The return times from the Imperial War Museum Duxford are at 2 hour intervals from 11.25 until 17.25.  The Myalls bus service, which currently calls at Cambridge bus station, will also call at Cambridge train station with effect from Sunday 20 May.

Getting here by train

Cambridge railway station is served by regular trains from London Kings Cross and London Liverpool Street, with other connections nationwide. Rail passengers can then take the C7 bus service (Monday-Saturday) from outside the station.

Getting to the Air Shows

The Museum recommends that visitors travelling south on the M11 take the alternative route, which will be signposted from Junction 11 of the M11, along the A10 to Royston and then east to the Museum along the A505. 

Cambridgeshire Police will be operating a proactive traffic management system on the M11, A505 and at Junction 10 of the M11. 

A free courtesy bus will run from Cambridge Railway Station, the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Cambridge and Trumpington Park & Ride at Junction 11 of the M11 at regular intervals.  Click here for the Air Show Courtesy Bus Time table.
