Duxford can now offer the hire of its Replica Spitfire, DU-X, offering a unique centrepiece for any corporate event or show. This amazingly accurate replica gives clients the opportunity to take a Spitfire to places that a real one can’t fly into.
DU-X is a full-size replica of a Mark IX Spitfire, built around a box-steel chassis and covered in fibreglass panels. The colour scheme is influenced by those typical of a Mark IX but includes some non-original markings. DU-X was donated to the Museum and is used to promote Duxford and the work of the Museum as well as being available for corporate hire.
Duxford will organise, along with our specially trained transport company the delivery and collection of the replica Spitfire.
