During the school holidays the Department for Learning offers a variety of hands-on activities for families. Most of these take place in AirSpace or the American Air Museum unless otherwise stated. Details of activities for each school holiday are posted on this page approximately two weeks before the start of each vacation. Look out for the yellow family logo banners or signs.

The Duxford Detectives Quiz can be picked up in the Visitor Centre. Ask at the Admissions Desk for your copy and take part in the quiz as you look around the Museum.

All activities and workshops, including those in the American Air Museum, are FREE except where specified.

Daily Activities

The Department for Learning offers hands-on activities on most days during the school holidays. These might include:

• Looking at Second World War objects
• Making paper kites and windmills
• Flight or history-based craft activities
• Family quizzes and trails
• Discovering how an ejector seat works
