Welcome to the official Friends of Duxford website.

Duxford Aviation Society

Friends of Duxford is a joint venture between the Imperial War Museum and Duxford Aviation Society. Its aims are to help promote interest and encourage visitors to the Imperial War Museum Duxford, and help support the Museum both financially and practically.

Members not only have unrivalled access to exhibits and parts of the Museum not open to the public, but also the opportunity to take part in exclusive events around the country.

Eurofighter Typhoon goes on public display for the first time at Duxford

In April 2009, Duxford took delivery of Eurofighter Typhoon Development Aircraft 4 (ZH590) which was gifted to the Museum by the Ministry of Defence in 2008.

On Thursday 18 June at 2.00pm, Typhoon DA4 will be brought out from the AirSpace Conservation Hall onto public display for the first time since its arrival at the Museum.

This is a fantastic opportunity to see Duxford’s newest exhibit before it formally goes on public display in AirSpace. We look forward to seeing you there!
