British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2

TSR-2
TSR-2 test flight (British Aerospace)
Designed initially as a replacement for the Canberra, the British Aircraft Corporation TSR-2 developed into a potential replacement for the RAF 'V' Bomber. However, in 1965 the Government decided that the estimated costs of research, development and production of the TSR-2 would be prohibitive and cancelled the project.

The TSR-2 was so advanced that many of its features were incorporated in the Panavia Tornado which went into front-line service some twenty years later.
